Usage: /dwp-refine [plan]

dwp-refine

Refine an existing Deep Work Plan.

What it does

dwp-refine modifies an existing plan. It can add, remove, or reorder tasks while preserving completed work and updating the task table.

Usage

/dwp-refine [plan]

Behavior

  1. Read the existing plan.
  2. Add, remove, or reorder tasks.
  3. Preserve completed work.
  4. Update the task table.
  5. Record what changed and why.

Explicit migration

Existing plans keep their recorded generation when the skill is upgraded. Migration is never automatic. A legacy three-task ending can be explicitly migrated to the retained v5 Final Review shape; a v5 plan can move to v6 only through an explicit, previewed v5-to-v6 migration. A v6 plan already uses the current generation and does not need migration.

Promoting a Lite plan to Full

/dwp-refine promote {plan_name} switches a Lite plan’s authoritative representation from inline README task records to per-task files, preserving completed work and task IDs without changing scope. Promotion is representation-only — it never calls execute. Full plans are not automatically demoted back to Lite.
