dwp-create
Create a new Deep Work Plan from a high-level goal.
/dwp-create - Goal + context
- Decompose → materialize plan
- Plan on disk
What it does
dwp-create takes a high-level goal and turns it into a structured plan. It analyzes the goal, asks clarifying questions if needed, decomposes the work into sequential tasks, and writes the plan files.
Usage
/dwp-create <goal>
Modes
dwp-create defaults to guided mode: it gathers context, runs the analysis, and materializes a Lite plan directly — a compact proposal that is already executable, not a throwaway draft — shows it to you, and asks whether to retain it as Lite, promote it to a Full task-file plan, edit it, or stop — so you always read the real plan before deciding. This is the recommended default, especially the first few times.
Append trust (or auto) as the last word to skip that review — the agent goes straight to a pre-approved, ready-to-run plan (Lite or Full, chosen by the same signals):
/dwp-create <goal> trust
Trust mode is the power-user shortcut once you trust the flow; guided mode keeps a human in the loop by default.
Behavior
- Analyze the goal and repository context.
- Ask clarifying questions if ambiguous.
- Materialize the plan directly under
.dwp/plans/PLAN_001_<slug>/— a Lite plan by default, or Full for larger work (in guided mode, review it and choose to retain Lite, promote to Full, edit, or stop). - Decompose into sequential tasks and write the README, task files, and PROGRESS.
- End with the Final Review (security pass, final-state validation, skills reconciliation).
The current 7.x pack creates new v7 plans by default with slugs of 2–5 words. The retained v5 flow uses 2–4 words because its frozen schemas count the numeric ID as a word. New plans receive monotonically increasing numeric IDs of at least three digits (for example, PLAN_001_add_payment_webhooks/). Existing unnumbered PLAN_<slug>/ folders remain readable and are never renamed; existing plans are never migrated implicitly. When numbered plans exist, latest resolves to the plan with the highest numeric ID.
